The inn has just four guest bedrooms that have private baths and the basic amenities, and two restaurants, which are open to guests and the public for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. The inn is just a few minutes' drive from the Belle Isle State Park, the Bush Mill Stream and the Hughlett Point Natural Area Preserves.
Tides Inn (tidesinn.com) is a resort located about 25 miles to the south of Lewisetta in the village of Irvington. The hotel is located on its own small peninsula overlooking the Rappahannock River and Carters Creek. The original Tides Inn was opened to the public in 1947 and recently has undergone extensive renovations. Golfers will find that the inn has its own 18-hole golf course. It also has a 60-berth transient marina with a sailing school and boat rentals. Guests will find that their rooms have all of the usual amenities and that they can enjoy the use of the hotel's outdoor pool, fitness center, full service spa and gift shop.
Kilmarnock Inn (kilmarnockinn.com) is located in the village of Kilmarnock about 25 miles to the south of Lewisetta. The Inn consists of a main house with three guest rooms and six cottages. The main house is the newly renovated Wilson House, built around 1884. A gourmet breakfast is offered to guests and also available to the public. Kilmarnock Inn has its own five-hole putting green.
