Book your train tickets by visiting the RailEurope Web site. See the Resources section below for a link. You can also contact them directly by calling (888) 382-RAIL.
Decide between seat classes: first, second, couchettes or sleeping cars. Not every train offers all these options, so book accordingly. Be aware that sleeping cars can be quite expensive, but offer the most amenities.
Select between a single pass or a multi-destination pass. If you plan to travel extensively by train throughout the Czech Republic, you can save money by purchasing the latter.
Know that you have several train options throughout Poland and the Czech Republic. Express trains are efficient and require reservations. Inter-City and Euro-City trains are the newest and fastest available, but they will have the highest cost.
Choose the slower TLK trains for a less expensive option.
Locate the train number and seat assignment on your ticket.
Check posted signs at the station to identify your platform. In Poland, departure signs are yellow and the word for platform is "Peron."
Listen carefully for your Czech Republic stop. If you're on a train with multiple destinations, you'll have less than five minutes to exit.
