Take a train from Cambridge to London. These leave Cambridge for the capital with some frequency.
Catch the high-speed link to Glasgow from London's King's Cross Station.
Go to the waiting room at Glasgow's Central Station on the Main Concourse, near platform one, if you need a rest or are making another train connection.
Rent a luggage trolley for a pound to make your transition from train to cab or bus a little easier. Trolley stations are located throughout the train station, and when you return the trolley to a trolley station, your pound will be returned to you.
Get cash to spend in Glasgow at one of the ATM machines located throughout the station. You'll find them on the main concourse and next to platforms five, six and ten.
