How to Travel to Atlantic City by Train

Atlantic City is a town in New Jersey where people go to gamble, play and have a good time. Casinos, the boardwalk and a plethora of restaurants and nightlife cater to visitors every day of the year. Hotels and amenities are available for all budgets and transportation is available to take visitors around the city. Because of its proximity to New York City and other major metropolitan areas, train transportation into Atlantic City is plentiful. If you're looking to take the train into the city for your next visit the most difficult part of the process is choosing which train to take!

      Check your calendar and choose your travel dates for your Atlantic City trip. You must know your travel date prior to purchasing your train tickets.

      Purchase tickets online through the train company/station of your choice. Choose a train service that services a city or town near your home or departure city to make travel that much easier. Most companies allow you to visit the company website to purchase tickets by choosing your departure city, destination city, dates, number of passengers and providing your credit card information.

      Call the train station to purchase a ticket over the phone. You'll need to provide the same information as in step two to complete the purchase. Make note of your confirmation number for your records.

      Purchase a ticket directly from the train station prior to your departure or well in advance of your departure date. Train stations typically accept cash and credit card as methods of payment.
