Be aware that Amtrak's California Zephyr only stops in Denver once per day. However, Amtrak does offer train service to Raton, New Mexico, allowing you to connect with a thruway bus to Denver from there.
If you book a trip that does not require changing to a bus, expect to arrive in about 18 or 19 hours. Changing to a bus could boost your travel time to 24 hours or more, including layover.
If you ordered your tickets online or by phone, pick them up at a ticket agent or at one of the Quik-Trak kiosks that can be found at many Amtrak locations (you'll need to enter your reservation number). If you've booked your trip far in advance, you can also request that your tickets be mailed to you.
Take public transportation in Denver, but be aware that it is less developed than in other major cities. However, this is a decent way to get from point A to point B in the core of the city.
Use Denver's light rail system to get around the downtown area, as well as certain parts of South Denver. During peak times, trains depart every 5 minutes.
