Go to the Deutsche Bahn Web site to book your ticket (see Resources). Choose the "English" option located on the red menu bar on the left side of the page. You should be then directed to the "Find A Connection" page.
At the "Find A Connection" page, enter "Hamburg" and "Flensburg" for your starting and destination cities. Select your date and time of departure and return if you are purchasing a round trip. Note that there are many options that come up for "Flensburg." Select "Flensburg" from the available choices to find the fastest connection.
Select the means of transport search you prefer, choose the fastest connections and if bicycle storage will be necessary. Enter the number of travelers in each category: adult, children, seniors and youth. Input the ages of each passenger when requested.
Select your preferred travel option. Travel time between Hamburg and Flensburg is about 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours depending on the connection.
