What are push and pull factors?

Push factors are conditions in a person's home country that motivate them to leave. These can include:

* Economic factors, such as poverty, unemployment, or low wages

* Political factors, such as war, persecution, or lack of freedom

* Environmental factors, such as natural disasters or pollution

* Social factors, such as discrimination or crime

Pull factors are conditions in another country that attract people to migrate there. These can include:

* Economic factors, such as job opportunities, higher wages, or better economic opportunities

* Political factors, such as peace, stability, or democracy

* Environmental factors, such as a more favorable climate or better quality of life

* Social factors, such as greater opportunities for education, healthcare, or religious freedom

In most cases, people who migrate do so because they are pushed by negative conditions in their home country and pulled by positive conditions in another country.
