There are 12 water slides, interactive play areas for kids, a lazy river, a wave pool and heated pools. The food court overlooks the lazy river and wave pool. The water park has locker rooms, showers and rock climbing. Its featured slides include Back Lash, Green Goblin and Melt Down. The park also features Grizzly Woods, where kids experience the wilderness and stand under a 600-gallon bucket that dumps water on them when a horn blows.

    Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark at Boyne Mountain

    • The largest indoor waterpark in Michigan is Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark at Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls. The 88,000-square-foot indoor waterpark has a winter wonderland theme. It is temperature-controlled to stay at 84 degrees every day. The park features Splashhorn, which sounds a horn when 800 gallons of water will pour down on anyone underneath; Rip Zone, which simulates a surf wave where you can test your skills at body board surfing, and Vertigo Slide, which is a large water slide that sends you in circles until it flushes you out into the pool below. Other attractions at Avalanche Bay include South Wall, Kitz Pool, Boyne River, Downhill Mat Racer, Haute Route Water Crossing, Super G Slide, Glacier Hot Springs and Blizzard Bay, which is an activity pool. The indoor water park has an arcade and the Snack Shack for lunch, dinner and snacks.

    Double JJ Resort

    • The Double JJ Resort has a 60,000-square-foot indoor water park along with a championship golf course and horseback riding. Inside the water park, there is a hot tub, water basketball pool, toddler pool, water fort, wave pool, lazy river and thrill slides. Thunder Canyon is a white water raft ride for up to four people. The ride starts indoors and takes you twisting outdoors before coming back to the end of the trail. There is Miner's Plunge ad Stallion Falls, which are tube rides, and Rustler's Gulch, which is a body slide and the tallest water slide in Michigan. Double JJ indoor water park has an arcade and snack bar.
