Water Parks in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Travelers like having options when it comes to planning an itinerary for an upcoming trip. Are there museums, sports venues or water parks nearby? Grand Rapids makes many of these options available with a downtown museum, a minor league baseball team, a hockey team and two local water parks, with a third within driving distance.
  1. The Big Dip

    • The Big Dip water park is located inside the Holiday Inn Express hotel. Guests of the hotel receive four passes to the water park with their room reservation, but people not staying in the hotel can purchase a five-person day pass punch card from the hotel for $60. The park has a three-story water slide and jungle gym. Adults can use the whirlpool or hot tub while kids play in the park area.

    Lamar Park Splashpad

    • The Lamar Park Splashpad is a free, outdoor water playground. It offers stationary water guns, dumping buckets and a water tunnel. It is open every summer from June 1 until Labor Day. Lamar Park also offers basketball courts, picnic and grilling stations, volleyball courts and a climbing wall for the family to enjoy.

    Michigan's Adventure

    • Michigan's Adventure is an amusement park and water park located in Muskegon, about a 40-minute drive from Grand Rapids. The outdoor park is open every summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The water park features wave pools, tube slides and a pool-side cabana. The family can also have fun on the amusement park's roller coasters or eat lunch at the concessions stands.
