Water Parks in Southeastern Michigan

The summer is short in Michigan; therefore, the outdoor water parks are usually full every day when school is out and the summer sun beats down. There are many water parks to choose from in the southeastern region of Michigan that are conveniently located near parks or hotels. Some water parks offer lessons, picnic tables and pavilions for a fee if you call ahead and have a group or a party.
  1. Red Oaks Waterpark Madison Heights

    • The Red Oaks Waterpark won three different awards for being the best water park in 2009 for the Detroit area. The water park offers a soak station that is full of kid's slides, squirts, jets, tipping buckets and sprays. A separate area named Spray & Play is intended for toddlers. It has 15 different water jets, shallower water and and a walk-in entrance.

Ride an inner tube around the park via the float river, which is nearly 1,000 feet long. There is also a tidal wave pool and a giant waterslide for adults and older kids to enjoy.
