Great Wolf Lodge is a luxurious resort with amenities aimed to please and activities that cater to children and adults alike. The lodge has multiple locations throughout the United States and Canada. Great Wolf Lodge introduced the first indoor water park to Virginia, in the historic city of Williamsburg. The water park is themed in conjunction with the lodge, with area names such as Raccoon Lagoon, Howlin' Tornado, Beaver Tail Lake and Wolf Rider Wipe-Out.
The park offers a range of activities for all ages. There are hot tubs and tall tower slides along with kiddie slides and pools. There is an agility course designed for kids that requires balance while jumping back and forth on floating lily pads. Most activities require the participant to be at least 48 inches tall; however, many activities allow participants under that height if they are accompanied by an adult. The water park is clean and inviting.

The water park at Massanutten is located in McGaheysville, Virginia, which is right outside of the large city of Harrisonburg. The resort offers various activities, from skiing during winter months to gliding down indoor water slides year-round. The water park at Massanutten is the second indoor water park established in Virginia. The water park maintains a temperature of 84 degrees Fahrenheit for the comfort of its guests. The park offers activities for all ages, from a frog pond with a depth of 12 inches for toddlers to a pressurized pipeline for teenagers and adults to surf and kneeboard. The park also offers relaxing activities such as playing in the 36-inch-deep Shenandoah Cove family pool or floating down the Blue Ridge Rapids on an inflatable tube.
The water park is designed for families spending the entire day in the park, with five dining facilities located inside the water park. There are snack bars, a coffee shop, a full buffet, a lounge with food and a television as well as a dining party room available for rent.

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort is a well-rounded place, providing entertainment for everyone. The water park is referred to as Wild Bear Falls and has a lodge-like atmosphere. It is 60,000 square feet and has activities such as a zero-depth entry pool for toddlers. Resort staff provides life vests upon request. All rides require the participant to be at least 48 inches tall, except in areas designed for toddlers. All children must be accompanied by an adult in the water park.
The water park also features The Bearfoot Arcade and The Roaring Fork Grill. There is a mezzanine located above the water park for onlookers to watch family and friends. Westgate has guest suites with amenities such as a small kitchen with appliances. Small pets under 60 pounds are allowed, with a cleaning fee.
