Indoor Water Parks in Korea

If you are visiting South Korea and want to have a day of fun without worry about sunburns or rain, you may enjoy visiting one of the country's various indoor water parks. South Korea has a booming water park industry and is staying competitive by creating both the largest water park in the world as well as various themed water parks that are one of a kind. Each park has its own share of slides, pools, and even spas.
  1. Phoenix Blue Canyon

    • Phoenix Blue Canyon is a brand new water park close to Jinjo-ri in South Korea. The indoor portion takes up half of the park and contains a wave pool, "frong" pool, kid's pool, bathe pool, water slides, and Event Spa and Sweat Chamber. Amenities to the park include a kid's play room, a sports cafe, a nurse's office, locker room and food court.

      Admission fees vary depending on the season and what time of day you attend. During the off season a daytime pass is 50,000 won for adults and 38,000 won for children. Afternoon passes are 43,000 won for adults and 32,000 won for children. Peak season daytime fees are 65,000 won for adults and 50,000 won for children. Afternoon passes are 56,000 won for adults and 43,000 won for children. Nighttime passes are available during peek season at 39,000 won for adults and 30,000 won for children.

    Caribbean Bay at Everland Resort

    • Caribbean Bay is the largest water park in the world. The indoor section spans 202 square kilometers. The park has a Caribbean theme and contains one-of-a-kind rides including a water bobsleigh course and wave pool that generates waves as high as 2.4 meters. The park also has a diverse collection of specialized spas. There is a popular jasmine tea spa meant to beautify women and a lemon spa meant to alleviate fatigue. There is a kid's pool area as well as a nap area in the park. Adult daytime tickets range from 30,000 to 65,000 won depending on the season. Nighttime tickets for adults range from 26,000 to 50,000 won. Children's daytime tickets range from 23,000 to 55,000 while nighttime ticket are 20,000 to 43,000 won.

    Ocean World at Vilvaldi Park

    • Ocean World at Vilvaldi Park contains an indoor water park in the Gangwon-do Province of South Korea. The indoor park has pools, slides, a Korean-style sauna, and a therapy center. The park has an Egyptian theme and is designed to look like an oasis in the middle of a desert. There are even play versions of the sphinx and pyramids on the premises as well as a shopping mall. Adults pay 55,000 won for a full day pass and 45,000 won for a half day. A children's pass is 41,000 won for a full day and 34,000 won for a half day.
