Texas Indoor Water Parks

Although the first indoor water park in the United States was built in Wisconsin in 1989, it was 2006 before the Schlitterbahn Wasserfest indoor water park made a splash in Texas, which is now home to three of these family-oriented vacation destinations. Indoor water parks appeal to families looking for short getaways because they have attractions for all ages under one roof. They are also weatherproof, temperature controlled and sometimes associated with a larger resort.
