Water Parks near St. Clair County, Michigan

One of the many summer pleasures to be enjoyed in St Clair County is the chance to spend time relaxing beside some of Michigan's most beautiful stretches of water. These waterways have been incorporated into a number of the county's parks, creating areas where people can swim, sunbathe and enjoy eating alfresco under blue skies.
  1. Goodells Park

    • Goodells Park in St Clair County has created its very own water park called The Splashpad. This offers facilities that are enjoyed by all generations during warm weather. These include ground geysers and a rainbow water tunnel, as well as dumping buckets and water canons. Admission to Splashpad is free and its aquatic fun is available every day between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm.

    Lakeside Park

    • Lakeside Park lies on the shores of Lake Huron. Its clean sandy beaches and water front, which runs for a distance of 1050 feet, have made it a popular venue for swimming and socializing. Its natural attractions are augmented by its restrooms, picnic areas and playground facilities for children. Beach volleyball has become a popular sport at this waterpark.

    Lighthouse Park

    • Lighthouse Park is also located on Lake Huron's shoreline. It is close to the point where the St Clair River enters the lake and has a waterfront and beach area stretching for 900 feet. It is one of St. Clair County's most historic parks and offers an impressive view of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. The water here is very clear but the website Bluewater.org warns swimmers of strong currents. The park has a number of picnic areas.

    Marine City Beach

    • This water park is described on Bluewater.org as having a swimming beach. The park is open seven days between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm from the last day of school before the summer recess until the first day of the new semester. However, it shuts down during bad weather. Visitors can enjoy grassy areas in the shade and a barrier free sidewalk. Picnic tables and barbeque grills are provided. The site includes bathrooms and spring toys for children.
