Port Huron, located in what locals affectionately call The Blue Water Area, rests on the U.S./Canadian border at the point where Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River. Bluewater Fun Park is just a short drive across the Blue Water Bridge to Sarnia, Ontario. You can spiral down one of two, winding water slides, or float across the Leisure Lagoon pool. Small children have fun on speed slides and playing in the cascading water mushroom fountain. Children off all ages will enjoy the competition of bumper boats, complete with water cannons. Away from the water, picnic areas, miniature golf and an outdoor snack bar are available. Bluewater Fun Park offers a choice of paid admissions and features two birthday party packages for groups of six or more.

The Splashpad is a feature of St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Department. Located approximately 15 minutes west of Port Huron, the Goodells County Park Splashpad is open seasonally with free admission, as of 2010. Visitors cool off with an assortment of spray offerings like water cannons, geysers and a water tunnel. If you would like to get completely soaked, stand under one of the parks dumping buckets. In addition to the Splashpad, Goodells County Park features beautiful flower gardens, a historic village, farm museum and summer concerts. The park is open year round.

The nearby Lapeer County Parks offers the Mill Race Water Park, located at General Squier Park in Dryden. An approximate 40 minute commute west of Port Huron, Mill Race Water Park offers a pair of fast water slides and a family play area with floating logs, lily pads, a frog slide, fountains and water cannons. The Old Mill serves hot snacks and cool beverages. General Squier Park also has a historic hall with seating for over 100, pavilions and nature trails.
