The Canobie Water Park is located 35 minutes north of Boston in Salem, New Hampshire. This water park opens at the end of April and stays in operation until the last weekend in September. The earliest that this park opens is 11 a.m. and the latest it's open is 8 p.m. At Canobie Water Park, guests will find such attractions as Castaway Island. It is the largest water complex in New England and offers nine water slides, water cannons and geysers. The Boston Tea Party is a shoot-the-chute water ride and consists of a 20-passenger boat ride that winds through a flume until it plunges guests downhill. The Coco Key Water Resort is adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Boston Hotel. This water park is about 30 minutes north of Boston in Danvers, Massachusetts. Coco Key Water Resort occupies 65,000 square feet and is completely indoors. Parrot's Perch is an interactive water complex that features children-sized water slides, water cannons and a huge bucket that tips every few minutes. Coconut Grove Adventure River is a fast-paced water slide that is geared for older children and adults. The Dip-In Theater is a small wading pool designed for children under 48 inches tall. Coco Key Water Resort also has rides for thrill seekers, and these include Shark Slam and Gator Gush. These rides are fast-paced water slides that guests traverse either on a raft or on their backs.
Hurricane Harbor is the water park located on the premises of Six Flags New England. Hurricane Harbor is just under two hours west of the Boston area. Guests can start the day on the Adventure River, floating downstream on tubes through waterfalls and geysers. Commotion Ocean is the park's 500,000-gallon wave pool, which produces small waves. Mr. Six's Splash Island is the park's new area that's geared toward families with small children. This area provides tons of interactive fun that will leave the whole family soaked. These rides plunge those brave enough down a 60-foot-tall, 132-foot-long water funnel into 5,000 gallons of churning water. Water Wizz is a water park located about one hour north of Boston in East Wareham, Massachusetts. This park provides lockers for its guests, for items that cannot get wet. Mussel Beach is this park's wave pool, which can produce waves that reach up to 3.5 feet in height. Little Neck Beach is this park's area for children under the age of 7. For those looking for a little bit of excitement, Water Wizz offers Squid Row. This features two water slides that twist and wind throughout curves and drops. Harpoon Lagoon is an interactive water center that is geared for all ages. For those looking to just relax, this park offers Herring Run River, which allows guests to travel downstream on a raft at a leisurely pace.
