Oklahoma provides a variety of family-friendly attractions, such as museums, zoos, and amusement parks. In a land-locked state with hot summers and temperatures that peak in the low 80s in July, families may want to head to a water park for some recreation and to cool off when the weather gets warmer. They have several water parks to choose from across the state.
Big Splash Water Park, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, offers nearly a dozen water attractions such as tubing rides, speed slides, and Kiddy Land, which contains water activities for young children. Each attraction has a certified lifeguard on duty. Other activities are on hand at the park, such as volleyball, basketball, and horseshoes. There are also seasonal events and activities such as a dunk tanks, bingo, and live entertainment.
Comanche Nation Water Park, which is located in Lawton, Oklahoma, occupies 12 acres of land and comprises six water slides, a wave pool, a man-made river called the Endless River, and a man-made lagoon called Little Springs Lagoon. The park has tubes for rent for use on slides and the Endless River. Other attractions include a play gym and a game center with video games and skeeball.
Splash Zone is located in Enid, Oklahoma, and provides a variety of water attractions to park visitors, including water slides, an activity pool, the Lazy River, and the Kiddie Cove. Visitors can also enjoy horseshoes, sand volleyball, basketball, and an arcade. Splash Zone offers packages for company parties, birthday parties, and church and youth group events.
White Water Bay offers a variety of water attractions including slides, pools, and raft rides, for a total of over 30 attractions. The park has six slides, including the Mega-Wedgie, which is 277 feet long and contains a free fall of 64 feet. On the Keelhaul Falls ride, families can ride tubes in shallow water, going from pool to pool by slides and drops. Kid’s Kove is an activity pool for young kids.
