How to Reset a Power Commander
The Power Commander is a device with a microprocessor that plugs into a motorcycle's stock electronic control unit so you can make fuel injection adjustments. By adjusting the motorcycle's control unit, you can improve fuel economy for maximum horsepower. The Power Commander uses different map files that correspond to different motorcycle models that you download from the Power Commander site (see Resources). You plug the Power Commander into your computer with the included USB cable to copy a map to the unit and configure it, and then disconnect it and attach it to your motorcycle. If there is a problem with the Power Commander, you can easily reset it.

Double-click on the "Power Commander" icon on your computer's desktop to launch the application on your computer.

Click on the "Tools" menu, then click on "Environmental Options."

Press the "Control" key and the "R" key on your computer's keyboard simultaneously. A "Reset Power Commander" button will appear in the display.

Click on the "Reset Power Commander" button. The software will reset your Power Commander unit.
