How to Reset a Transponder

In aviation, transponders are used to automatically respond to any incoming radio frequencies with a specific signal. This signal will tell other aircraft what kind of plane the transponder belongs to. In some cases, transponder users may wish to reset the flight timer on their transponder in order to ensure flight time is accurately recorded. This procedure can be performed with a few button presses.

     Press the "FUNC" button on the front of the transponder until the flight time is displayed on the device's LED panel.

     Press the "Start/Stop" button on the front of the device to stop the timer.

   • 3

     Press the "CLR" button to reset the timer to zero.
