How to Reset the Combination on Embark Combination Locks

Embark combination locks are approved for luggage by the Transportation Security Administration, TSA. This means that if you need your luggage inspected, TSA officials can use a special tool to open the lock without having to break it. If you want to change the combination on an Embark lock before your next trip, the process is actually a fairly simple one if you know the existing combination to the lock.

  Open the lock by using the existing combination. The combination for new locks are included in the packaging.

  Pull the shackle up so that the lock is open. Turn the shackle 90 degrees to the left or right, and then press it back down. Hold the shackle down.

  Set your new combination while holding down the shackle. Align the numbers exactly on the dial. Once the combination is set, release the shackle. Pull it up completely, rotate it back and close the lock. The new combination is set.
