Visit a website that specializes in listing current gas prices (see References). The site will list by city and gasoline station what the current prices are per gallon of gas. You will begin to notice that some gas stations are usually cheaper than others.
Look for the gas station on the list that has the cheapest gas per gallon. Use your computer, smartphone or even the Yellow Pages to call the gas station and verify that the price is correct.
If the price is verified, map out where the station is located.
Check your map for metropolitan areas and cities that have large suburban communities. Gas stations in the city proper are usually more expensive than in the suburbs.
Using the Internet or Yellow Pages, call some of the gas stations listed in the websites that offer the cheapest gas to verify prices.
