Decide what dates you are able to travel and which destinations you would like to visit. For a list of options, go to the Trafalgar website and click on the Destinations tab. The locations along with the length of the trip and available dates will be listed. You can also use the Tour Search tab to search specific tours or for tours offered during a particular time of year. If you would like to check out their current promotions, browse to the Offers tab to browse through discounts and deals available for certain destinations.
Select a tour that interests you and browse through the details including the itinerary, trip inclusions, reviews, available tour dates and prices.
If you are purchasing your trip through the website, click Book Now under the Dates and Rates tab. Be sure to include any promotion codes when booking the tour online. Another options is to call Trafalgar directly at 1-866-544-4434. Alternately, you can call your preferred travel agent to book the specific tour.
Check that you have the proper documentation needed for your trip. If you are traveling overseas, you will need a passport. You can obtain a passport by going to your local post office and filling out Form DS-11 and submitting the supplemental information. It can take a few months to process your passport application and receive your passport.
Once your tour has been booked and confirmed, return to the website. Under the Pre Tour tab, click Online Express Check-In. Enter the required information. This information is for travel and emergency purposes and will be given to your tour director. The Online Express Check-In must be completed at least 15 days before the tour.
Also under the Pre Tour tab are Know Before You Go guides. Click on the guide for the country you will be visiting and learn more about your destination. The Pre Tour tab also offers a link to a message board where you can meet travelers who will be going on the same tour as you.
Travel documents will be sent to you 21 days before the departure date. Look over the documents carefully to make sure all the information is accurate.
Optional excursions are available on all tours. Travelers can view the excursions on the Trafalgar website under each tour. The cost of each excursion is listed in the denomination of the country being visited.
