Why are there more daylight hours in the north at ft. Yukon Alaska than south Guantanamo Cuba?

There are not more daylight hours in the north at Ft. Yukon, Alaska than south Guantanamo, Cuba. In fact, the opposite is true due to the Earths tilt toward the Sun on its axis.
