hookups. The streets and sites are paved, and the 247-site park has 34 pull-through sites, Wi-Fi, a pool and laundry. The lake's water level sometimes drops, leaving a shallow wetland, but does not dry up, giving campers the opportunity to observe ibis, cranes and other waterfowl, and perhaps sight a fox or wild turkey getting a drink. Deer are plentiful in the area. The Great Florida Birding Trail is nearby, as is a state park that offers hiking, biking and water sports.

A former farming complex purchased by the County of Volusia, Gemini Springs in nearby DeBary offers primitive camping, playgrounds, ADA-compliant picnic areas, nature trails and both paved and unpaved hiking and biking trails. Two natural springs are on the property. Comfort stations, water fountains and restrooms are available. Launch your canoe or kayak and explore the area by water, or check out the observation pier and dog park.
