Campgrounds Near Natural Bridge, Virginia

Natural Bridge, Virginia, is home to a stone bridge over 20 stories high. Until the early 20th century, this bridge was often named as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. This is also the area George Washington and Thomas Jefferson explored during the Revolutionary War era.     • The KOA campground at Natural Bridge can accommodate RV or tent campers; cabins are also available. Tent campers have access to 50-amp electrical service. RV campers can also enjoy cable television hookups. The cabins are one or two rooms each and can sleep up to four travelers comfortably. You can participate in a number of recreational opportunities at this campground, including horseshoes, basketball, swimming, hayrides and other planned activities. If you would like to go hiking, bicycling, horseback riding or kayaking, these activities are located a short drive from the campground. There are also two children's playgrounds and a game room with air hockey, board games, cable television and billiards.

    Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

    • Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is located five miles from Natural Bridge. It is on the James River near the Blue Ridge mountains. You may stay here from March through November. This park has wooded campsites and guest cabins with picnic tables and fire rings. Many of the RV sites are pull-through locations with 50-amp electrical service and cable television. Cabins have a covered front porch, cable television and a refrigerator. A recreational area includes a water slide, miniature golf and a jumping pillow. There is also a game room, swimming pool and children's playground.

    Wilderness Canoe Camping

    • The Wilderness Canoe Company is located in Natural Bridge Station, which is only five miles from Natural Bridge. The sites here are wooded, spacious and private. They include a fire ring and picnic table. They are primitive sites, but you will find pit toilets located near most sites. You can stay here in either a tent or a camper; pets are also welcome for no additional charge. There is a sandy beach that is a short walk from most locations. You can also enjoy canoeing, fishing, nature watching, picnicking and hiking.
