Skidaway Island is a part of the Georgia Park Service and it is home to 87 campsites, many of which are equipped to handle RV camping. The park is located just minutes from historic Savannah along the Intracoastal Waterway section known as Skidaway Narrows.
The park is a wildlife lover's paradise, offering lots of walking trails through the marshes where deer, crabs, raccoons, egrets and many birds call home. An interpretive center offers many exhibits centered on the visible wildlife in the area.
The park has 87 campsites that accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Picnic shelters, group facilities and playgrounds surround the sites. Tybee Island and its beaches are available for swimming and other recreation just a few miles away.

Redgate Plantation is a farm-like setting just eight miles from historic downtown Savannah. Despite being just down the road from the city, those setting up their RV at Redgate will feel they are far away from civilization.
