Located 28 minutes from Conyers, Georgia, this 5-square-mile park has 431 campsites that can accommodate everything from tent campers to RV campers. RV campers will have access to water, sewer and electric hookups and tent campers have water and electric hookups available. For those desiring to fend for themselves there are also 56 primitive tent campsites available. The campground amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a volleyball court, a campground store, grills, fire rings, picnic tables, Wi-Fi Internet access, laundry facilities and a kids' playground. This family-friendly campground organizes activities for its visitors such as Bingo, movie nights, coffee and donuts social meetings and ice cream parties. Other activities campers can engage in include hiking, biking, boating, bird watching and fishing. Online reservations are recommended but first come, first served campsites are also available. You have to be at least 18 years of age to reserve a campsite.

    Hard Labor Creek State Park Campground

    • The campground at Hard Labor Creek State Park is 28 miles from Conyers, Georgia, and can accommodate tent and RV campers in the 49 available campsites. Water and electricity hookups are available at the campsites, as are picnic tables, fire rings and grills. Laundry facilities are also on the premises. The 5,804-acre campground is near two lakes, which allow various water activities such as boating, fishing and swimming. Other activities include horseback riding and hiking on the 22-mile trail and golfing at the nearby Creek Golf Course. Special equestrian and horseback rider campsites are also available. Aside from the attractions within the campground, campers can enjoy outings to Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center, Lake Oconee and Panola Mountain State Park.     Simmeron Park

    • This privately owned and operated RV campground is 25 miles from Conyers, Georgia, and can accommodate RV campers in their full hookup, 50-amp campsites. The park prides itself in providing a safe, quiet, family-friendly environment. If you don't own an RV or motor home, you can rent a one here that's up to four bedrooms large. Campers can engage in activities such as fishing, swimming, kayaking and whitewater paddling in the many lakes and creeks in the area. Outings can be to the nearby Hard Labor Creek State Park or to Gunther Dam. Reservations can be made by phone. Nightly, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly rates are available.
