Factory Shoals Recreation Area has campsites for both RVs and tents. Situated on the Alcovy River, the campground is in a wooded area. Overnight camping is available from March through November. The campground has a bathhouse with flush toilets and showers. The campsites themselves are very basic. They have no hookups and fire pits only.

One of the oldest, if not the oldest park in the nation, Indian Springs State Park consists of 528 acres and is located near Jackson Lake in Flovilla. There are 88 sites for RVs and tents spread out over three different camping sections. Every section has its own laundry facility and bathhouse. Campers enjoy the park's nature trail, and fishing and boating in the park's McIntosh Lake. Boat rentals are available. There are also 10 cottages, one group shelter and seven picnic areas.

High Falls State Park in Jackson is spread out over 1050 acres and features a 650-acre lake in which campers can fish and boat. The campground has 103 sites that accommodate tents and trailers. It also has six yurts, which are tent-like structures with poles in the middle. There are five picnic shelters, group shelters and a seasonal pool that charges a fee and is privately owned. Hiking trails, two boat ramps, miniature golf and boat rentals add to the park's allure.
