Georgia Power Campgrounds in Georgia

Georgia Power, one of the state's largest electric utilities, owns 15 lake areas around Georgia. In fact, Georgia Power provides more recreation facilities in Georgia than any agency except the state park system. Georgia Power groups its lakes and their accompanying campgrounds into three regional systems: Northeast Lakes, Central Lakes and West Central Lakes. Most of these campgrounds accommodate RVs and tents and provide dump stations and water and electrical connections. Recreational opportunities include boating and fishing, swimming, whitewater rafting and hiking.
