LaFleur's Bluff State Park is located nine minutes northeast from the center of Jackson. This state park offers 28 back-in campsites. Partial hookups include water and 50-amp service--visitors are responsible for hauling their own sewage. The park also has cable TV, a bath house, grills, a boat launch, dump station and fire rings. Once camp is set, guests can fish, hike a nature trail, view wildlife, golf, visit the ranger station or watch the kids in the playground. Pets are welcome.

The Swinging Bridge RV Park is located southwest of Jackson in the town of Byram, 15 minutes from the town center. This campground offers 119 pull-through and back-in spaces, 56 of which are laid with gravel, and 63 laid with concrete. Full hookups include cable, sewer and water connections and 50-amp service. Trash is collected daily from every site as well. Swinging Bridge also has tent sites, two bath houses and a laundry room. Pets are welcome.

The Timberlake Campground is a part of the Ross Barnett Reservoir and is located 17 minutes southwest of central Jackson in the town of Brandon. This campground has 280 back-in spaces with partial and full hookups. Partial-hookup sites offer water and electricity connections, while full-hookup sites additionally offer a sewer connection. Campsites are divided as either interior or waterfront. Services offered include a recreation room, tennis courts, pool, grills, picnic tables, a boat launch and laundry room.
