Brands Hatch has extensive on-site camping facilities, for all spectators, near the main entrance. The site is divided into three areas. The first is a family area, which bans all loud music after 9 p.m. The second is set aside for caravans and motor homes, with all road-registered vehicles permitted on the site. The last is the lively campsite with music permitted up until 11:30 p.m.
All three areas offer toilets and drinking water fountains, while the family and lively sites also have showers. The Kentagon and Hailwoods bar and restaurants are open in the evening, with bands playing during events, in the main stadium area. For those who would rather cook for themselves, barbecues are allowed on the campsite, as long as they are tended at all times. Security and medical teams, as well as fire control marshals, operate in the camping area.
To keep the peace, certain items are banned. Pets, fireworks, firewood, Chinese lanterns, scooters or mini motorbikes, in addition to any vehicles that are not registered for the road, are not allowed. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
For those seeking a bit more peace and quiet, Thriftwood Holiday Park is 3 miles down the road near the villages of West Kingsdown and Stansted. Set in a woodland area, the park offers camping or holiday homes with fully equipped kitchens, shower rooms and bedrooms along with televisions. It features a heated outdoor swimming pool, play park and games room. Pets are welcome.
Set next to the village of West Kingsdown, in the southeast English county of Kent, Brands Hatch is an hour from central London, just off Junction 3 of the M25 motorway or Junction 1 of the M20. There are trains from London Blackfriars, which take half an hour to Swanley station, 5 miles away, where you can catch a taxi.
