RV Campgrounds in Key Largo, Florida

Along with the beautiful scenery and spectacular sunsets, Key Largo is a popular destination for campers because of the many opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and boating. Two of the most visited attractions in Key Largo are the Coral Reef and John Pennekamp state parks. Visitors with RVs have many options, including campgrounds that have their own marinas.
  1. Key Largo Kampground

    • Situated one mile south of John Pennekamp State Park and 1/4 mile from Route 1, the Key Largo Kampground is spread out over 40 acres along the Atlantic Ocean. The campground has sites for both tents and large RVs. It's a large facility with more than 170 RV sites, all of which are full hook-ups with free cable TV. Some of the RV sites are in shaded areas and have 50-amp electric. On the grounds are two bath houses, a security gate that's in operation 24 hours a day, an outside lounge, pay phones with email access, a laundry facility and a store. The campground has sites that surround a canal on three sides and has a boat ramp and boat docks. Additional docks were added in 2006. Other recreational activities include two heated pools, a playground, volleyball, shuffleboard and basketball courts and a horseshoe pit. Special activities, such as bingo and square dancing, are held in the campground's clubhouse.

    King's Kamp

    • King's Kamp is located on Black Water Sound and offer great views of Florida Bay. In addition to 55 RV sites, the campground has tent sites, motel rooms and cottages along the bay. All the sites and rooms are available on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis. Amenities on the property include a boat ramp, laundry facility, bathrooms, shower houses, tiki huts along the bay, free Wi-Fi and boat docks that are also available on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The RV sites are located along the bay and are pull-throughs that can handle vehicles up to 40 feet. Each site has a picnic table and grill. Fifty of the RV sites are full hook-ups, while four have just water and electric.

    Calusa Campground Resort and Marina

    • The Calusa Campground Resort and Marina, which sits along Buttonwood Sound on the bay side of Key Largo, has inland, canal and bay front RV sites that can be rented for a day, week or month. The sites are pull-throughs that are full-up hooks with either 30- or 50-amp electric and cable TV. The campground has a dump station, picnic tables, and multiple restrooms and shower houses. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, a playground for children, tennis courts and basketball courts. Guests can take advantage of a boat storage area, a boat ramp, and both public and private both docks.
