The City Youth Hostel Dusseldorf is located at the base of the Rheinknie Bridge on the left bank of the Rhine River. It is just across the river from the Old Town area. All of Dusseldorf's popular tourist sites are nearby and can be reached easily on foot, while the airport and trade fairgrounds can be reached via convenient public transportation stops.
Recently renovated in 2008, it offers dorm beds and private rooms. Linens and a breakfast buffet are included in the bed price, as is Internet access in the lobby, security lockers, outdoor terrace, postal service, lounge area and laundry facilities. Towels and hairdryers can be rented. It has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible. There is an extra charge if the guest does not have an International Youth Hostel membership card.

The A&O Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof, part of the A&O chain of hostels in Europe, is located about a mile from Old Town and other sightseeing attractions. However, it is convenient to public transportation stops.
The rooms are smaller and offer more privacy than some of the dorm-style rooms in other hostels. Each room has a private bath as well as cable television and wireless Internet access. All rooms are non-smoking and the multi-lingual staff can help with ticket booking and sightseeing information.
