Spenard Hostel International is an independent hostel located a block from Anchorage's bike trail system. It is less than four miles from the Coastal Trail and two miles from Anchorage International Airport. Features of the hostel include 24-hour check-in availability, no curfew requirement, laundry facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Local bus transportation directly to downtown is easily available. The hostel is also located three blocks from the Iditarod Race headquarters at the Millennium Hotel.
Anchorage International Hostel is located in downtown Anchorage and is easily accessible to bus, train and national park shuttle services as well as the many events and activities that take place downtown. During the summer (May 1 through Sept. 30), office hours are 7 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Access is not permitted past 1 a.m. unless office staff is informed in advance of late airport arrivals, and rooms are not accessible from noon to 4 p.m. so rooms and floors may be cleaned.
Arctic Adventure Hostel offers free transportation to and from the train station if reserved in advance. Bed linens and towels and Wi-Fi access are provided for no extra charge. Pancake mix, oatmeal, coffee, tea and juice are provided for breakfast. A refrigerator and cable television, consisting of more than 100 channels, are available in private rooms. There are 20 rooms. Thirteen are private rooms, five are two-person rooms, and two are three-person rooms. Local city buses are accessible within a 10-minute walk.
Alaska Backpackers Inn is open 24 hours a day, and full kitchen facilities, coffee, laundry facilities, Internet access, bicycles and linens are included in the price of a stay. Cable television is offered in private rooms, while micro fridges are available in private and double rooms. Dorm rooms are also available. Front desk hours during the summer are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Check-in time is no earlier than 4 p.m., and check-out time is no later than 11 a.m. The property should be contacted in advance if check-in time later than 2 a.m.
26 Street International Hostel is located within a mile of bus and train stations, and Anchorage International Airport is less than four miles away. Complimentary breakfast is available from 8 to 9 a.m., while the facility includes a garden, full-equipped common kitchen and dining area, television room, coin-operated laundry facilities, Internet access, common living room with a courtesy phone, storage and books. All rooms contain a maximum of four beds apiece, and private rooms are also available.
Bent Prop Inn & Hostel of Alaska has coin-operated laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access and cable television. All rooms have access to a kitchen, bathroom and shower, available on either a private or shared basis. It is located within walking distance to many stores and restaurants, and bus stops are nearby. An airport pickup may be available if arranged ahead of arrival.
