In the middle of the village of De Koog there are two luxury four-star hotels that provide guests with the ultimate in hotel charm. The Grand Hotel Opduin Textel has all of the in-room amenities expected of a four-star hotel. The hotel has tennis courts, fitness center, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sun tanning booths and a golf putting course, all on the premises and it is just 200 yards from the beach.
Hotel Greenside offers a similar standard of amenities and facilities and is also located in the village close to the beach.
For those looking for a more private setting there is the Residentie Californie, a holiday apartment complex located next to the National Park Dunes of Textel and surrounded by forest but still just a short walk to the beach. There are a few options for budget accommodations in town and some outside of De Koog. The one-star Hotel Friends offers guests basic double rooms with television and sink with a shared full bathroom in the hallway. The hotel's adjacent Friends Cafe is a lively meeting place that serves traditional Dutch food and guests of the hotel can eat breakfast there.
Just 12 minutes from De Koog, in the village of Den Burg is the Stayok Textel Hostel. The hostel has double rooms as well as dormitory rooms that can accommodate up to eight people each with private bathroom. The hostel has a games room, laundry facilities and restaurant for guests convenience.
Visitors wishing to experience life as an islander can make their home away from home in one of the many bed-and-breakfast establishments on the island. Carels Karmer Textel is a small bed and breakfast a short five-minute walk to the village and the beach. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, in the garden or in rooms.
