The hotel is located close to the confluence of the Missouri and the Yellowstone Rivers, where you can take in a little paddle fishing. Just over the state border are two historic forts. Hotel Albert is located in the center of Fairview and offers guests a lounge, restaurant and casino. The hotel was built by Albert Phillips, the son of a captain in the Civil War, in 1913. The hotel has operated continually since then with the exception of the duration of the 1918 flu epidemic when, being the largest building in town, it was turned into a hospital. The El Rancho is a boutique hotel located in Willesten, North Dakota, just 22 miles along Route 2 to the east of Bainville.
