The Desert Inn Motel is the only accommodation in Yeehaw Junction. Its 11 rooms are priced at about $60 a night and can't be reserved. According to its website, rooms are usually available, it passes all health inspections, truckers are welcome and the rooms are clean and have showers. The motel is located behind the historic Desert Inn, which is at the heart of Yeehaw Junction. Built in the 1880s as a trading post, the building is now a restaurant that serves exotic Florida dishes like gator burgers, frog legs and turtle burgers as well as more standard hamburgers.
About 30 miles south of Yeehaw Junction, the Hampton Inn Okeechobee is about three miles from Lake Okeechobee and its marshlands. You can fish, check out one of the lake's 38 recreational sites, hunt for flea market bargains or golf. King- or queen-size beds area available in the hotel's 85 suites equipped with coffeemakers, free high-speed Internet, hair dryers and flat-screen HD televisions. About 30 miles from Yeehaw Junction, The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Vero Beach is on Orchard Island Beach, separated from the mainland by a lagoon. You can swim in the outdoor heated pool, do a work-out in the 24-hour fitness center or dine in the on-site restaurant on fresh seafood and American cuisine.
