Both the Reef and the Harborside Resort at Atlantis specialize in multiple bedroom suites, suited for families of all sizes. The Reef offers two and threebedroom suites. In addition, The Reef has a smaller, more affordable studio option for couples or small families. The Harborside Resort has one, two and three bedroom suites as well, but also offers premium and lock off options. The premium villas at Harborside have only one entrance, which is great for families with small children. The lock off villas have a separate entrance into the second bedroom, which is good for friends and groups.
Both full-service resorts offer a variety of in-room amenities for guests. Each roof at The Reef has its own private, oceanfront balcony, a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a living room with a flat-screen HDTV and sleeper sofas, marble bathrooms with oversize tubs and separate showers and a kitchen complete with standard appliances. The rooms at the Harborside Resort are equipped with king-size beds and kitchens with standard appliances, as well. In addition, the rooms at the Harborside also offer a washer and dryer, designer furniture, cable television and a VHS player.
In addition to the standard room amenities, both resorts offer access to additional hotel amenities. The Harborside has its own fitness center, spa, tennis court, game room and fine dining restaurant. The Reef offers an on-site business center and complimentary shuttle service and changing facilities at the many beaches and water parks of Atlantis. The Reef also offers wireless Internet access, babysitting, gift baskets and adventure tours for an additional fee.
The Harborside Resort is not located on the main Atlantis property, while the Reef is on-site. The Reef is a better option for families who want to stay within close proximity to the beaches and water parks on the Atlantis premises. Groups of adults may prefer the Harborside Resort, since it is closer to the Marina Village and casino, both of which are very lively at night. People looking for a quieter vacation may also prefer the Harborside, which is away from the bustling Atlantis parks. The Reef was built more recently, and thus the rooms are more modern and updated.
