Piney River is a tiny Virginia community of about 200 people that is located along the Piney River. It is located within Nelson County about two hours from Richmond. The area is home to many activities and attractions surrounding the river like white water rafting and campgrounds. The community of Piney River has no hotel of its own, but several can be found in nearby towns.
