Hotels Near Remlik, VA

Remlik, a small town in the coastal region of Virginia near Chesapeake Bay, is close to many historic areas of Middlesex County. The nearby town of Urbanna, founded in 1680, is a former commercial port with a number of sites in the National Register of Historic Places. Every November, the Urbanna Oyster Festival celebrates local seafood with parades and entertainment. Lodging near Remlik consists of boutique hotels and bed and breakfast inns.

    • The Inn at Woodstock is a half hour by car from Remlik in Hartfield, on the Plankatank River. This bed and breakfast was once the home of Abraham Lincoln's granddaughter, and the restored mansion features family antiques. The inn hosts weddings and special events, but does not allow small children or pets. It serves a full breakfast and afternoon coffee with dessert. Dining in Hartfield includes a local pizza parlor and the Steamboat Restaurant a short drive away. Boat rentals are available from nearby Locklies Marina on the Rappahannock River.

    Dragon Run Inn

    • The Dragon Run Inn, 10 minutes north of Remlik in Church View, is a 1913 farmhouse converted to lodgings. The inn offers four rooms with amenities like hypoallergenic comforters and Jacuzzi tubs. A homemade country breakfast is complimentary, and guests can order dinners with five day's notice. Selections include the Farmhouse Dinner, with traditional "comfort" food; a romantic, five-course meal; or a picnic basket for two. The hotel sits next to Dragon Run Swamp, whose cypress trees were used in the inn's construction.
