Rush, CO Area Motels

Rush is an unincorporated area located in El Paso County in central Colorado approximately 40 miles east of Colorado Springs. As of the 2008 Census, the population of Rush is approximately 750 people. Rush is considered part of the greater Colorado Springs metropolitan area. While Rush does not offer any lodging accommodations, several motel-style accommodations are located within close proximity.

  1. Econo Lodge

    • The Econo Lodge is located in Calhan, approximately 14 miles north of Rush. The motel features a daily complimentary continental breakfast, a business center and a small sitting area and lounge in the lobby. Guest rooms offer premium movie channels, a microwave, a refrigerator and high-speed Internet access. As of January 2011, guest rooms start at $75 per night. The Econo Lodge is also pet-friendly and allows small pets for an additional fee.

    Western Motel

    • Located approximately 20 miles from Rush in Simla, the Western Motel is a family owned and operated budget motel option. The motel is situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains and features landscaped grounds with views of the area. Additional motel amenities include Wi-Fi access, a coin-operated guest laundry room and a 24-hour front desk. Guest rooms offer new pillow-top mattresses and pay-per-view movie channels. As of January 2011, guest rooms start at $55 per night.

    Coach-Lite Motel

    • The Coach-Lite Motel is located in Simla, less than 15 miles from Rush. The motel features a daily complimentary continental breakfast, truck and bus parking and a guest barbecue and picnic area. Guest rooms offer in-room movies, a refrigerator, a microwave and high-speed Internet access. As of January 2011, guest rooms start at $59 per night. The Coach-Lite Motel also allows pets for a small additional fee.

    Area Attractions

    • Rush and the surrounding area are home to the El Paso County Fairgrounds, the Rocky Moutain Roosters pheasant hunting preserve and the Paint Mines Interpretive Park. Paint Mines features miles of hiking trails and stunning views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Golfers will enjoy the nearby Antler Creek Golf Course. Area restaurants include the Rush Cafe, Outlaw Pizza and the Hearthstone Kitchen.
