The Flower Mart has been an annual event since 1939, drawing 10,000 people to the National Cathedral on the first Friday and Saturday of May, to buy plants, flowers and a variety of treasures. The event is organized by All Hallows Guild to raise money for the preservation and care of the cathedral gardens. Floral displays adorn the interior of the cathedral while entertainers, carousels and booths of flowers and food bring music, color and laughter to the grounds.
