The adventurers Lewis & Clark passed through Fort Peck, Montana, in the early 1800s. Modern day adventurers seek out Fort Peck, in Missouri River Country, for its location near the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge. Fort Peck Lake offers fishing for walleye, northern and Chinook. Fort Peck Summer Theater, built in 1934, has three productions each season. The Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center and Museum has an aquarium, a life-size model of Peck's Rex, the T-Rex discovered here and nature walks. Fort Peck Dam, built in 1933, spans the Missouri River.
