Glenrock is in central Wyoming and is surrounded by nature. It is near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and runs along Deer River. The population is approximately 2,375. There are two museums in Glenrock containing historical information and objects from different time periods. There are hiking and biking trails in Glenrock, as well as areas to fish along the Deer River, and canoe rentals are available.
The Hotel Higgins is a historic hotel, built in 1916. Each room is slightly different but all are decorated in an antique style. Although the rooms do not have TVs, there is one in the hotel parlor for all to enjoy. Guests receive a full breakfast, and it's a pet friendly hotel. The Paisley Shaw restaurant, which was originally a grand ballroom when the hotel was built, is a three-star restaurant with menu items such as steaks, veal, seafood and pasta. The Highlander Pub in the hotel features 25 brands of beer and has an outdoor patio available during the summer months. The Hotel Higgins also has a reputation for being haunted.
The All American Inn has 22 rooms. Each room has a refrigerator, a microwave and air conditioning. Two of the rooms have kitchenettes. Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast. It's a pet friendly motel. The Fort Diablo Steak House and Saloon is a few minutes away and offers a menu of steaks and seafood, pastas and salad. They have a full bar. The Four Aces Restaurant is about a mile away and serves American cuisine and pizza.
The Mabuhay Motel is Glenrock's newest motel. Each room features Internet, a microwave and a refrigerator and a 42-inch flat-screen TV. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast and there are restaurants close by. The Four Aces restaurant is withing walking distance of the motel and offers American cuisine and a full bar.
The Four Winds Motel is located in Douglas, Wyoming, 26 miles east of Glenrock. It was recently remodeled and offers queen beds and free Internet, and refrigerators are available upon request. Clementine's Cattle Company is a barbecue and steakhouse about a half mile from the hotel. They offer American cuisine and have a full bar. There are also plenty of fast food restaurants within walking distance of the motel.
