Hotels Near Sopchoppy, Florida

Located in Northern Florida and surrounded by Tate's Hell State Forest and the Apalachicola National Forest, Sopchoppy is a tiny little town of less than 500 people, according to the 2003 Census. Although there are no hotels inside the city of Sopchoppy, there are two hotels less than a few minutes away and two camps that you can enjoy during your stay.

    • If you're looking for a place where you can relax, vacation and unwind, check out the Inn at Wildwood Resort. The Wildwood Resort is an eco-friendly hotel just a few miles from Sopchoppy. This nature-based hotel is nestled on a golf course so you can enjoy a few rounds during your stay. After a round of golf, enjoy the Wildwood Resort Restaurant and Bar that's opened Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the weekend from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    • Located by the mouth of the Wakulla River on Apalachee Bay, not too far from Sopchoppy, the Shell Island Fish Camp can offer a lot of outdoor fun. At Shell Island you can rent boats, fish, swim and snorkel in the water. You can choose to camp at Shell Island, stay in the Shell Island Motel or even rent two-bedroom cabins. The cabins come equipped with four to six beds, one bathroom, a kitchen, cable TV, air conditioning and a front porch to enjoy the view.
