Resorts & Hotels Near Peanut Island, Florida

Originally formed in 1918 as a side-effect of the dredging of Lake Worth Inlet and local portions of the Intracoastal Waterway, the island has grown from a 10-acre "spoil site" to an 80-acre county park. Visitors to the island can partake in any number of sanctioned outdoor activities, from snorkeling to fishing to camping. However, if you're looking to stay at a hotel or resort during your trip to Peanut Island, you'll have to book a room at one of the many nearby establishments, as there are no commercial businesses of any kind allowed on the island.

  1. Sailfish Marina Resort

    • Offering some of the closest accommodations to Peanut Island, the Sailfish Marina Resort sits on the western shore of Singer Island. Since you'll have to take a boat to Peanut Island, Sailfish Marina provides a daily water taxi service back and forth between island and resort. For the more adventurous, you can even rent your own boat from the resort.

Unless you've brought your own picnic --- actually quite common among visitors to the island --- you won't find anywhere to eat on Peanut Island. Luckily, if you're staying at Sailfish Marina, you'll find at least 10 restaurants within minutes of the resort, including the on-site Sailfish Marina Restaurant.

    Portside on the Inlet

    • Located along the southern shore of Singer Island, Portside on the Inlet is a great choice for those on a more extended vacation; the hotel offers daily, weekly and monthly rates on all of its studio and one-bedroom suites. In addition, boat rentals, private charters and water taxis to Peanut Island are all just a short walk away at the nearby marina. Visitors to Portside on the Inlet can also find plenty of entertainment aboard one of the many casino cruises that depart from the Port of Palm Beach, only 10 minutes away from the hotel.

    Marriott's Ocean Pointe

    • Another Singer Island establishment, Marriott's Ocean Pointe, actually sits facing the Atlantic along the island's eastern coast. However, since it's located on a part of the island that is only two blocks wide, Ocean Pointe still provides quick and easy access to Singer Island's western coast and Peanut Island beyond. One of the more luxurious resorts in the area, Ocean Point features large 2- and 3-bedroom villas with space for up to 10.

    Travel Inn

    • One of the only mainland hotels near Peanut Beach, Travel Inn is also one of the most affordable lodging options you will find in the area. And just a few minutes south of the hotel, Captain Joe's Peanut Island Water Taxi makes trips back and forth between the island and the Riviera Beach Municipal Marina about every 30 minutes. In addition, Travel Inn sits just off of Federal Highway, providing convenient access to much of Florida's eastern coastline.
