Sappho is a small town in the far northwest corner of Washington. In the 2000 census, its population was under 500 citizens, and because of its size, no hotels are in the town. However, if travelers are willing to travel 13 miles southwest of Sappho, they will find plenty of hotel options in the town of Forks, the town made famous by Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight" series.
The Olympic Suites Inn is in Forks along the Calawah River. It is a nonsmoking facility that offers one- and two-bedroom suites and full kitchens in some rooms. It uses the popularity of the "Twilight" series to its advantage and offers regular rooms or the Bella Suite, which has a different decor along with some extras and treats named after the "Twilight" series. The regular rooms come with free continental breakfast and wireless Internet, a microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, hair dryer, night light and 32-inch flat screen HD TV with a DVD player. Rooms also include wake-up calls and a private balcony or patio. Roll-away beds, recliners and cribs are available, and pets are welcome at the hotel.
The Forks Motel has 73 guestrooms and offers a variety of rooms to meet guests' needs, including rooms with a microwave and refrigerator, two-bedroom kitchen suites, Jacuzzi suites, wheelchair accessible units and some air-conditioned rooms. All rooms come with cable TV, queen-sized beds, direct dial phones and wireless Internet. Complimentary morning coffee is available in the lobby. and fax and copy services are also available. A heated swimming pool is open from June through September and a guest laundry is on site. Smoking rooms are available on request.
The Pacific Inn Motel is in Forks and is another hotel that uses the "Twilight" series to capture its guests attention, offering "Twilight" themed rooms upon request.
