Shamokin Dam is a small community in Snyder County in central Pennsylvania. It takes its name from a 19th-century dam that used to span the nearby Susquehanna River; the dam was destroyed in 1904 by ice floes. The community is found along U.S 15, and several motels are in or around the area.
