Pelsor is a small town in the River Valley Region or Arkansas. It is located in the midst of the Ozark National Forest and close to several hiking trails. The Arkansas River Valley is known for "Tri-Peaks" that tower over it: Petit Jean, Magazine and Nebo. Pelsor is an isolated town with no hotels, but there are hotels in other cities and towns.
The Front Porch Inn is located in Jasper, Arkansas, approximately 30 miles from Pelsor. The Inn is located in the center of the Jasper town square and offers three different suites, each accommodating up to four guests. Each overnight guest receives breakfast at a cafe next door. As of January 2011, the suites are $75 per night for two people, with an extra $10 per person above two.
Mack's Pines offers lodging in Dover, Arkansas, approximately 20 miles from Pelsor. Lodgings include the Ozark House for up to five guests, Trailer House for up to six guests, and eight cabins with two beds each. Amenities vary depending on lodging but include television, air conditioning, heat, water and linens. As of January 2011, rates are $100 a night for two guests in the Ozark or Trailer House (additional guests are $10 each) and $55 to $65 for the cabins. Mack's Pines also offers RV parking and horse stalls.
Little Switzerland Cabins is also located in Jasper, Arkansas, about 30 miles from Pelsor. Three cabins and three chalets are available for guests. As of January 2011, prices range from $55 to $130 a night for two people plus $10 or $15 extra for each additional guest. Lodgings all include TV, complimentary juice and coffee, refrigerators and microwaves. The chalets include a full kitchen, dining area and game room.
The Riverview Motel is located in Jasper, Arkansas, approximately 30 miles from Pelsor. This family-owned motel also offers canoe and kayak rentals and is a short drive from the Buffalo River. Rates and information about rooms can be obtained by calling the motel's owners.
