Hotels near Toluca Lake, Los Angeles

Toluca Lake refers to both an actual lake and a district in the northern suburbs of Los Angeles. It is located along the border of the city of Burbank, as well as the Los Angeles district of North Hollywood. Universal Studios, the Hollywood Bowl, the Kodak Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame are just some of the many attractions in the area. A number of quality hotels are located with a mile or two of the Toluca Lake area.

    • The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn hotel promotes its Spanish-style architecture and convenient location at the juncture of two highways. The establishment is also referred to as the Holiday Inn Universal Studios Hollywood hotel. Guests can take a free shuttle to Universal Studios, less than a mile away.     • The Hotel Amarano Burbank claims it is the only luxury boutique hotel in Burbank. Its luxury rooms range from $230 to $680 a night as of January, 2011. The hotel is located around the corner from Warner Brothers Studios and a mile from Universal Studios. Some of its rooms have full kitchenettes and walk-in closets. The hotel has two restaurant/cocktail lounges, including one with an outdoors dining area. Extended-stay rates are available.

    Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City

    • The Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City hotel provides scenic views of Universal Studios and the Hollywood Hills. It is located at the main entrance to Universal Studios. Its website promotes its luxury bath items. The hotel offers room service, a coffee shop, a cocktail lounge with live entertainment and two restaurants. It also has a swimming pool, a fitness center and helps guests book tours of the local area. Some of its rooms list at $170 a night as of January, 2011, but most of them are at least $200 a night. The Kodak Theater and Hollywood Bowl are both within two miles of this hotel, which sits on a landscaped six-acre property.

    Safari Inn Hotel

    • The Safari Inn Hotel, built in 1955, has plenty of history. It has appeared in movies such as “True Romance” and "Apollo 13.'' The hotel has also been the home of famous stars and served as a backdrop for album covers of rock groups such as The Wallflowers.' It is also well-known for its neon sign. Advertising itself as where history meets Hollywood, the hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and deck, a fitness center and valet services. Various promotions are available, including a package in which guests receive passes to the Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park when they book a room. Rooms start at $129 a night as of January, 2011.
